On a Call when the phone is active
A supported phone system can send Presence the minimum call-state event needed to update availability.
3CX + VOIP STATUS INTEGRATION
Presence supports two 3CX beta paths alongside Twilio and compatible webhooks: approve a 3CX web-client tab in Chrome, or run a direct Call Control API connector beside the PBX.
FOR WORK PHONES & COMPATIBLE VOIP SYSTEMS
Presence combines only the availability connections you approve into one simple, privacy-safe status. The people around you see whether now is a good time—not the private details behind the answer.
A supported phone system can send Presence the minimum call-state event needed to update availability.
VoIP call state can take priority while active, then Presence reevaluates calendars, meetings, manual overrides, and working hours when the call ends.
Chrome can detect an active call in a user-approved 3CX web-client tab. Eligible Enterprise PBX systems can instead run a local Call Control connector.
Shared views do not receive caller names, phone numbers, call audio, transcripts, recordings, or the subject of a conversation.
SET IT UP ONCE
Use Chrome for an individual 3CX web-client tester, or create a 3CX Direct API connection for a PBX-level test.
The Chrome path requires approval only for that 3CX site. The direct path keeps the PBX API secret in a local connector and sends only start and end state to Presence.
Verify that On a Call appears when answered and that Presence returns to the correct underlying status when the call ends.
PRIVACY FIRST
Meeting titles, attendees, call participants, precise coordinates, chat, recordings, audio, and video stay out of shared views. Every user controls their own connections and links.
COMMON QUESTIONS
3CX documents Call Control API access for eligible Enterprise systems. An administrator creates an API client and grants it access only to the extension being tested. The Presence connector runs on a computer that can reach the PBX.
Not automatically. 3CX and Twilio have supported beta workflows, while other providers need compatible call-event webhooks or a reviewed custom setup.
No. Presence does not access call audio, recordings, transcripts, caller names, or phone numbers. It needs only the supported active-call state.
Yealink describes the handset manufacturer, not necessarily the phone-service provider. Compatibility depends on the underlying VoIP platform and whether it can send supported call-state events.
