AMAZON ALEXA · NOW LIVE

Let availability set the room—without sharing the meeting.

Presence can now turn each live availability status into a privacy-safe Alexa routine trigger. Dim the office lights for Focus, switch on a door light during a meeting, or reset the room when you become Available.

AVAILABLE NOW IN THE ALEXA SKILL STORE

One clear answer before someone interrupts.

Presence combines only the availability connections you approve into one simple, privacy-safe status. The people around you see whether now is a good time—not the private details behind the answer.

01

Keep every routine trigger current

Presence reports the simplified status produced by the connections and choices you approved, so Alexa can react when that status changes.

02

Use status changes as routine triggers

Choose from Available, Available if needed, Meeting Soon, Meeting Scheduled, In a Meeting, On a Call, Focus, Recording, Busy, Away, and Dumpster Fire. Alexa remains responsible for the lights and other connected-device actions.

03

Communication content stays private

Presence does not send Amazon calendar titles, caller details, meeting participants, email, location, audio, video, recordings, or conversation content.

04

Disconnect whenever you want

Disconnect Alexa from the Presence dashboard and disable the Presence skill from the Alexa app to stop future requests.

SET IT UP ONCE

Presence works quietly in the background.

  1. 1Enable Presence from the Alexa Skill Store

Open the public Presence listing, enable the skill in the Amazon account used by your Alexa devices, and follow the account-linking prompt.

  2. 2Link your Presence account

Approve the limited connection using the same sign-in you use for Presence. The dashboard confirms when Alexa has connected.

  3. 3Discover and choose a status

Run device discovery, choose a Presence status under Smart Home as the routine event, then select the lighting, announcement, plug, or other Alexa action you want. Presence never receives control of that device.

PRIVACY FIRST

Availability is shared. Calendar details are not.

Meeting titles, attendees, call participants, precise coordinates, chat, recordings, audio, and video stay out of shared views. Every user controls their own connections and links.

COMMON QUESTIONS

What people want to know.

Can Presence listen through my Alexa?

No. Presence does not receive ambient microphone audio or recordings. Alexa sends a request only when you intentionally invoke the skill, and the smart-home connection receives simplified status changes.

Does Presence directly control my lights?

No. Presence supplies an availability trigger. You choose and manage the resulting routine and connected-device actions inside the Alexa app.

Is the Presence Alexa skill publicly available?

Yes. Amazon certified Presence and published it in the United States Alexa Skill Store. The Presence product remains in beta, so we still welcome feedback about anything unexpected.
